Anna Silk
Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada by her character of Bo. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, a well-known actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories were of going to rehearsals for plays and watching her mother perform. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a child. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto to further her acting career in November 1999. She then, over the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she was introduced to during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop. In December 2009 they married following a civil ceremony. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton, after the woman converted to Judaism. Silk got a baby that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13 2013. Her son Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk has played a range of roles on television, among them Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win an award called the Gemini in 2009 for her performance. In 2009, she was cast as the main role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk got pregnant in the course of production of the season's third finale episode and broke the news to viewers of the show during a Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to return to work on the show.
